The volume of industrial production in January-November 2022 amounted to 1,060.4 billion tenge. The volume of production in the mining industry increased by 11.8%; in the manufacturing industry, the index of industrial production increased by 6.4%; in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning, the index of industrial production decreased by 2.8%; in water supply, collection, processing and disposal of waste, activities for the elimination of pollution, a decrease of 1.7% was noted.

The volume of cargo turnover in January-November 2022 amounted to 19,061.4 million tkm (taking into account the estimated volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), which is 1.7% more than in January-November 2021. Passenger turnover amounted to 2,473.4 million pkm, which is 11% more than in January-November 2021.

In the structure of industrial production of the region, the largest share (59.2%) belongs to the mining industry and quarrying. The manufacturing industry occupies 38.1%, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning - 2.3%, water supply; collection, processing and disposal of waste, activities for the elimination of pollution - 0.4%.
In the mining industry and quarrying, in January-October 2022, products worth 562.5 billion tenge were produced, which is 11.1% higher than the level of the corresponding period last year. Metal ore mining volumes increased by 19.2%.
Among the regions of the region, the largest share in terms of production volume is occupied by the industry of Semey (36.2% in the total volume), the industry of the Ayagoz district produced 32.5% of the regional output, the Zharma district - 23.7%, the Borodulikha district - 4, 9%, Kokpektinsky district - 1.4%.

The decrease was noted in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity by 1.9%, supply of steam, hot water and air conditioning by 4.6%.
In the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and conditioned air, products (goods, services) worth 21.6 billion tenge were produced, the industrial production index amounted to 97.4%.
